Project Scope
Developing a reusable crash test bogie as part of my capstone project, designed to satisfy MASH 1100C (1,100 kg) and MASH 2270P (2,270 kg) standards. The bogie will enable repeatable crash testing at speeds of up to 100 km/h, reducing costs compared to traditional single-use designs.
My Role
Leading the chassis design and development using a Body-on-Frame (BoF) approach for durability and modularity.
Supporting the integration of accelerometers, angular rate sensors, and DTS SLICE data acquisition systems for instrumentation and test validation.
Conducting FEA analysis via Nastran Solver, Ansys and LS-DYNA.
Project Status
Currently in the design iteration phase. CAD models via solid-works are being developed with iterations generated to further enhance the chassis. FEA solutions are being developed to validate CAD designs.
